NLIS implementation and other links
The Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development (MLHUD) in conjunction with the consortium IGNFI - IGN supported by the World Bank implemented the design, supply, installation and implementation of the National Land Information System Infrastructure (NLIS).
The NLIS fully integrates cadastral and land registration information.
Land records have been converted into digital format and 22 self comprehensive, decentralized, self contained one stop Ministry Zonal Offices (MZO) have been established across Uganda to deliver services closer to the people in Kampala, Jinja, Mukono, Masaka, Mbarara, Wakiso Busiro, Wakiso Kyadondo, Lira, Kabarole (Fort Portal), Kibaale, Arua, Gulu, Masindi, Mbale, Kabale, Mityana, Luwero, Mpigi, Tororo, Soroti, Moroto and Rukungiri (Presented in order of deployment).
Further information is available at the MLHUD site.
